PRINCIPAL SECOND VIOLIN
SECTION SECOND VIOLIN (1)
Audition date: Tuesday, August 25, 2026 beginning at 12:30 pm
Location: Willowdale Emmanuel United Church, 349 Kenneth Av. Toronto
Audition repertoire for both positions:
Exposition from the first movement of one of the following concertos of candidate's choice: Beethoven, Mendelssohn E Minor, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, Khachaturian, Glazounov, Prokofiev 1 or 2, Saint-Saëns B Minor
First violin part for Mozart Divertimento K 136 - movements 1 and 2
Second violin part for Prokofiev Visions Fugitives nos. 3 and 4
Parts for the excerpts will be provided to candidates in PDF format.
Auditions are by invitation and will be held behind a screen
Applicants must play their solo repertoire without any accompaniment
Candidates must be good standing members of the CFM/AFM.
Sinfonia Toronto is a 13-member chamber orchestra. Violinists and violists rehearse and perform standing up

PRINCIPAL DOUBLE BASS
This vacancy is for a temporary replacement for our current principal bassist during the first half of the 26-27 - until the end of December. The winning candidate will have to be available for at least 14 services during this period.

Mozart: Symphony No. 40 Movement 4, measures 49-70 and 229-249
