AUDITIONS FOR CALL-LIST POSITIONS

Violin - Viola - Cello

There are no core vacancies at this time. These are call-list auditions in case substitute players are needed. Sinfonia Toronto will pay on-call musicians at tariff rates as specified by the Toronto Musicians' Association. Auditions are by invitation. Candidates must be good standing members of the Toronto Musicians' Association. 

Audition date: Thursday, September 4, 2025 beginning at 12:15 pm

Application deadline: Tuesday, September 2, 5 pm

Location: Willowdale Emmanuel United Church, 349 Kenneth Avenue, Toronto

Audition repertoire:

1. First movement from a concerto of candidate's choice

2. Excerpts from one of the Mozart symphonies of candidate's choice: symphonies Nos. 35, 39, 40 or 41 - 1st and last movements

3. Dvorak - Serenade for Strings - 1st movement

No sight-reading will be required. 

Applicants must play their solo repertoire without any accompaniment.
