Sinfonia Toronto operates under a collective bargaining agreement with the Toronto Musicians' Association. The current 3-year contract extends to the end of 2024-2025 season.
During the present season section players receive $195 per concert and $43 per-hour for rehearsals plus 8% AFM pension benefit. In 2023-2024 concert rate increases to $201 and rehearsal rate to $48.94 per-hour; in 2024-2025 concert rate increases to $207 and rehearsal rate to $54.87 per-hour.
Sinfonia Toronto presents its Masterpiece Series in the Meridian Arts Centre, Jane Mallett Theatre and Trinity St-Paul’s Centre, performs regularly in other Ontario cities and presents education and outreach performances in the Greater Toronto Area. The orchestra has toured in China, Germany, Spain, South America and the US. Sinfonia Toronto has recorded four CD recordings, including a JUNO Award winner. Two more CDs are scheduled to be released in 2023. The orchestra's repertoire includes most of the standard chamber orchestra repertoire as well as many contemporary works; it has given numerous premieres.
Auditions are by invitation, to be held on Monday, January 30, starting at 1:00 pm at Willowdale Emmanuel United Church, 349 Kenneth Avenue, Toronto. Invited candidates will be informed of their individual audition time.

2. excerpts from the following:
Mozart - Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major, K. 467
1st movement from beginning to measure 71
Shostakovich - Chamber Symphony op. 83a
1st movement from beginning to #13
4th movement from beginning to #85
Music for the excerpts will be sent by email to invited candidates.
No sight-reading will be required. Applicants must play their concerto choices without piano accompaniment.
