John Thomas Gauthier was born in Ottawa in 1984. Discovering his love of performance at a young age, he participated in school plays and made home movies with family and friends. After attending Algonquin College and putting in several years as a bartender in 2017 he moved to Toronto to take a serious shot at acting professionally. He has appeared in Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent, Brilliant Minds, Tales from the Void, Pretty Hard Cases, SkyMed and many other television and streaming shows. In addition to acting, he also writes, produces, directs, and does various forms of stunt work.

Nurhan Arman has conducted throughout Europe, Asia, South America, Canada and the US, returning especially often to Europe. Among the orchestras Maestro Arman has conducted are the Moscow Philharmonic, Deutsches Kammerorchester Frankfurt, St. Petersburg State Hermitage Orchestra, Orchestre Régional d’Ile de France, Hungarian Symphony, Belgrade Philharmonic and dozens of orchestras in Italy, with many return engagements. His 2025-26 guest-conducting engagements include tours in Argentina, Brazil, Italy and the Republic of Georgia.

Sinfonia Toronto Now in its 27th season, Sinfonia Toronto has toured in Europe, the US, South America and China. They present concerts at the Trinity-St. Paul’s Centre and the Jane Mallett Theatre downtown and at George Weston Recital Hall in North York and perform in cities across Ontario. They have released six cd’s, including the JUNO winner Flanders Fields Reflections, and a seventh in summer 2025. The orchestra’s interactive ‘Concerts under Construction’ programs introduce students in high-needs schools to varied musical styles and model the positive effects of cooperation. Sinfonia Toronto’s repertoire includes all the major string orchestra works of the 18th through 21st centuries, and it has premiered many new works, especially by Canadian composers.
