Five superb musicians from the orchestra will charm our guests with a delicious menu of beloved musical bon-bons, perfect for a sociable summer evening.  The quintet will feature violinists Alex Toskov and Emily Hau, violist Caitlin Boyle, cellist Andras Weber and doublebassist Calum MacLeod.

Musical Comedy
Opera comedienne Kyra Millan and her pianist partner Tina Faye are favo urites  with  audiences around Ontario. Their brilliant, whirlwind show of famous opera and classical tunes and sketches celebrating the sublime and sublimely ridiculous elements of classical music tickle both ears and funny-bones. Both artists' extensive classical training ensures a highly professional and "sound" basis for their performances!

Maestro's Chat
Nurhan Arman is a superb raconteur, whose career has given him a repertoire of  fascinating musical experiences, from guest-conducting more than 100 orchestras on four continents as well as his earlier career as a violin soloist, in recitals and chamber music, and as concertmaster with a number of orchestras. He has delighted audiences as a guest speaker for many organizations.

At PEONIES & PINOTS he will give highly entertaining and interesting insights into the 2019-2020 season's programs and guest artists as well as some anecdotes from his travels.  William Littler wrote in a Toronto Star review, "there is no better way to put an audience in a relaxed and receptive frame of mind than Conductor Nurhan Arman’s affable remarks introducing each selection."

Live Painting
Art by Tamara
Tamara  Harutyunyan is an outstanding visual artist, with a Masters of Fine Arts from the Saint Petersburg Art Academy. She is often inspired by music, and believes that colours resonate with each other to produce visual chords and create influences on the soul.

Tamara will paint on site during PEONIES & PINOTS, inspired by both musical sets and the lovely garden location. The metamorphosis from blank canvas to swirling, intense colours will give viewers an enthralling accompaniment to the music they are hearing, and guest will have the opportunity to bid on one of Tamara's custom creations.
