Volunteer Prospect Researcher 

 

Sinfonia Toronto is a Toronto-based string/chamber orchestra committed to making orchestral music more readily available and connecting young and old audiences alike with music.

 

We are currently in the process of organizing a fundraising committee aimed at strategizing and implementing an annual fundraising campaign for Sinfonia Toronto. We believe that research plays a vital role in fundraising and are looking for someone to take on this task.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in monthly meetings
  • As part of a team, develop short and long term goals and strategies
  • Participate in event/annual fundraising planning process
  • Seek opportunities to market and publicize Sinfonia events and activities
  • Share skills and resources to support activities of Sinfonia Toronto
  • Keep informed of Sinfonia activities and initiatives

 

Qualifications:

  • Prospect Research experience or strong research skills 
  • Committed to the Sinfonia Toronto vision, mission and goals
  • Familiarity with the fundraising process

Volunteer Development Officer

 

Sinfonia Toronto is a Toronto-based string/chamber orchestra committed to making orchestral music more readily available and connecting young and old audiences alike with music.

 

We are currently in the process of organizing a fundraising committee aimed at strategizing and implementing an annual fundraising campaign for Sinfonia Toronto. We are looking for committed volunteers who would act as Development Officers, securing sponsorships and donations from individuals and corporations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in monthly meetings
  • As part of a team, develop short and long term goals and strategies
  • Participate in event/annual fundraising planning process
  • Initiate contact with potential donors and sponsors
  • Seek opportunities to market and publicize Sinfonia events and activities
  • Share skills and resources to support activities of Sinfonia Toronto
  • Keep informed of Sinfonia activities and initiatives

 

Qualifications:

  • Highly motivated with ability to work independently
  • Strong team player
  • Superior communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Creative & entrepreneurial
  • Committed to the Sinfonia Toronto vision, mission and goals
  • Familiarity with the fundraising process
