for the 2008-2009 season

PRINCIPAL CELLO
Sinfonia Toronto is a string orchestra of thirteen players. Next season the
orchestra will celebrate its tenth anniversary. It will present a
seven-concert Masterpiece Series and a number of community/outreach and
run-out concerts.
In November 2008 the orchestra will tour Germany and will launch a new CD on
the Marquis label.
The current master agreement provides minimum $88 for a three hour rehearsal;
$135 for concert; 37 guaranteed services; plus 6% for the AFM-EPW
fund. Principals receive an additional 10%. For further information please

Toronto auditions will be held on Monday, April 7
beginning at 12:00 noon. Auditions are open to all qualified members
of Local 149.
Auditions are by appointment and interested applicants are invited to
send their resumé by email, fax or mail - no phone calls please. Application
deadline is 5:00 p.m. on April 5.

2. A total of four contrasting orchestral excerpts from any of the Mozart
symphonies nos. 35, 38, 39, 40, or 41 (1st violin parts).
